Our commitment: Free lifetime repairs

After-sales service is essential to sustainable development. We are determined to ensure that everyone can have their CIMALP products repaired if they wish. Extending the lifespan of our equipment means creating a virtuous cycle and moving towards circularity.

At Cimalp, sustainability is an essential part of our ecological transition.
We are guided by the conviction that increasing the lifespan of our products is the best way to be sustainable.

That's our driving force: innovation and R&D at the service of the sustainable performance of our products. We rely on an increasingly responsible production chain and the implementation of a circular economy model to considerably reduce our environmental impact.

We campaign against planned obsolescence, repairing and giving a second life to our products.

Repair Instead of Replace

Durability is the key to sustainability.
Our products are designed to last as long as possible.

We offer a 100% free repair service to ensure that you can extend the life of your favourite Cimalp equipment, significantly reducing the carbon footprint* of our products.

In 2023, over 40% of used and/or faulty products returned by our customers were repaired rather than replaced.
Since September 2024, we've been going even further, with the creation of a workshop dedicated to repairing products in our brand new headquarters at the foot of the Alps, in Saint-Marcel-lès-Valence.

In the long term, we want to encourage innovative solutions to ensure repairability, by setting up a sustainability innovation laboratory dedicated to smart design solutions to optimise the repair and maintenance of our products, and by increasing our budgets fivefold by 2030.

*According to a Goodloop / MMG report, repairing a jacket is almost half the environmental impact of buying a new one.

Fabric wear

*Free lifetime repair is something different from the two-year guarantee offered for any defect detected during normal use of the product, but comes under the long-term wear and tear of the product as it ages!

Unfortunately, not all products can be repaired. It could depend on the material or the area to be repaired, but also on the condition of the product and its age. Each product is unique, so each request will be analysed with the utmost care by our workshop. But whenever possible, repair will always be the first option.

"Cimalp covers the cost of repairing and returning your product (only in France, Switzerland and the EU).
You only pay for initial delivery of the product to our workshop."

End of Life

When repair is not possible, but the product is still wearable, we opt for second-hand and donations to charities. We actualy think that we have a role to play in optimising the end-of-life process of our products, suggesting collection and recycling solutions. Materials and fabrics can be recycled rather than merely burnt.
