UTMB® records
In terms of history, it can be said that the UTMB® has broken many records, whether in terms of participants, distance covered, number of victories or race times.
The record for participants
The event is currently blocked at 10,000 participants, but the number of registrations continues to grow, reaching 22,853 in 2022. There is no doubt that the popular success of the UTMB® is confirmed and should not change too much in the years to come!
Victory records
In the men's category, 2 runners share this record. The famous Spanish runner Kilian Jornet and the Frenchman François d'Haene each have 4 victories on the UTMB®. On the women's side, it is an Englishwoman Lizzy Hawker who has the most victories with 5!
The speed record
One has to be careful when comparing the different times of different editions because the course has often changed, sometimes even in a minor way. These changes of course inevitably have an influence on the winner's time. Nevertheless, today it is the Frenchman François D'Haene who holds the record with a prodigious time of 19 hours 1 minute and 54 seconds, achieved on the 2017 edition.
