Refreshment points

For each UTMB event, the refreshment points are important points on the course and must be known in order to best manage your effort and nutrition.

A network of precisely defined feed points

For each event, a fairly dense and sufficient network of refreshment points is defined. These are specified for each race in the runner's guide with an indication of whether it is a liquid-only or full feed station. Each of these points is identified on the map and is marked by its kilometre point.

What do the rules say about feed stations?

Only runners wearing a visible race number on their chest or stomach, their chip on their backpack and their bracelet can access the refreshment posts and assistance points. For the filling of water bottles and water bags, the UTMB organisation will only provide still water or energy drinks. Other drinks must be consumed on site. There are three types of refreshment points: There are refreshment points with only still water, sparkling water, cola, coffee, energy drinks, tea or even vermicelli soup. There are full supplies which include the drinks described above but also cereal or energy bars, sweet cakes, chocolate, bananas, raisins, oranges or salted biscuits, cheese, bread and sausage. Finally, there is a hot meal offered at Les Chapieux and Courmayeur for the UTMB and CCC, and for the TDS one at Cormet de Roselend.
