Diego Pazos, also known as Zpeedy or the bow-tie runner, is a father of 3 and an investigator with the Swiss Federal Judicial Police. He's a fan of sport, movement and, consequently, all outdoor activities. He loves ball sports as much as endurance and strength. After 22 years of football, he fell into the Trail and Ultra Trail at the end of 2011. Since then, the values of sharing, surpassing oneself and solidarity that are the essence of this sport have always thrilled him.

Why do you feel you belong to the Cimalp family?
Very close, very family atmosphere, human relations at the heart of the brand.
Your best and worst memories in the mountains and why?
My worst memory: during training in difficult conditions with very little visibility on a ridge, I had a big scare. My best memory: climbing Mont-Blanc from Les Houches on a day-long single push. The effort is very interesting and the emotions with the partners are fantastic.
What do the mountains inspire you to do?
I'm fascinated by the mountains, they represent a boundless space of freedom.
What is your relationship to the environment and ecology?
In everyday life, we hardly use our car at all, preferring to use public transport. I'm very sensitive to the environment, without demonising everything or judging the choices made by certain people. It's sometimes difficult to be totally exemplary but if everyone made a few efforts, the difference would be enormous.
