An adventure and hiking enthusiast, Chris got into trail running in 2014 during his final years of college. He quickly got into the game and had the desire to try long formats.

After a few good results under his belt, he got a taste for competition at all distances! He also practices biking, mainly Gravel racing.

Recently he discovered his passion for biking and canicross, which led to him competing.

Interview with Christophe
3 words that define you as an athlete?
Persevering. Enduring. Cold-blooded.
3 values that fit you as a person?
Calm, curiosity, resilience.
Why do you feel you belong to the Cimalp family?
It's a family that's open to others, not 100% focused on the outcome of performances and when we get together we have a great time.  In addition, Cimalp products are made with an eco-design approach.
Your best and worst mountain memories and why?
It's hard to extract the best memory from hundreds of days in the mountains, training or competing, alone or accompanied. Each long outing in good condition brings one more great memory to the list!
My worst mountain memory is probably my 2016 Madeira crossing where I ran 85km with a sprained ankle. I ended up in a wheelchair in a clinic.
What do mountains inspire you to do?
Having the freedom to escape from reality and find peace.
What is your relationship to the environment and ecology?
Having done my graduate studies in physics, atmosphere and environment, I am necessarily sensitive to the problem of the depletion of the planet's resources.
Another great passion/talent besides sports?
Science, good beer, AI competitions.
